The Guangdong sub-event of the 2026 National Intellectual Property Services Outreach Campaign (Finance Special Session) was recently held in Huizhou, Guangdong Province. Under the theme "Integrating Intellectual Property and Finance: Building a New Ecosystem for IP-Driven Financial Services", the event was guided by the China National Intellectual Property Administration (CNIPA) and jointly organized by the Guangdong Administration for Market Regulation (Guangdong Intellectual Property Administration), the Patent Examination Cooperation (Guangdong) Center of the Patent Office of CNIPA, and the Guangdong Branch of Agricultural Bank of China Limited. The Huizhou Intellectual Property Office served as the organizer of the event.

At the event, the Guangdong Intellectual Property Administration launched the Guangdong Provincial Platform for Patent-Intensive Products, while the Guangdong Branch of Agricultural Bank of China unveiled its "Tens of Billions, Thousands of Enterprises, and Millions of Households" financial services initiative for geographical indication products in Guangdong Province. The Guangdong New Energy Battery Industry Intellectual Property Innovation Consortium was also formally established, with its first eight member companies signing patent pool accession agreements at the event.

In addition, Industrial and Commercial Bank of China, Agricultural Bank of China, Bank of China, and China Construction Bank signed intellectual property pledge financing agreements with 12 enterprises. The agreements covered various forms of financing secured by intellectual property rights, including patents, trademarks, and data intellectual property. Agreements were also signed for the commercialization of university patents, alongside a letter of intent for Huizhou's first intellectual property securitization project.

During the "Strategic Insights Forum: Industry Dialogue and Collaboration" session, the Patent Examination Cooperation (Guangdong) Center of the Patent Office of CNIPA delivered a thematic presentation on intellectual property services for key and core technological achievements. Representatives from leading enterprises, including EVE Energy, TCL, and Desay SV, also participated in discussions under the theme "Leveraging Intellectual Property to Empower the Real Economy and Connecting Global Markets through Finance."

For the first time, the event adopted a format comprising one main venue and five specialized sub-venues. During the campaign, five thematic intellectual property service activities were held concurrently across Huicheng District, Boluo County, Daya Bay District, and Zhongkai District in Huizhou. The activities focused on intellectual property finance, "Double Five-Star" patent commercialization matchmaking in the new energy and low-altitude economy sectors, and the promotion of patent-intensive products, among other topics. Together, these initiatives generated a series of outcomes spanning product showcasing, business matchmaking, agreement signing, and commercialization. The coordinated activities enabled the main venue and sub-venues to operate in synergy, share resources, and jointly advance tangible results.

According to the organizers, nine patent open licensing declarations relating to patent-intensive products were released during the event. The total value of agreements signed for intellectual property pledge financing and commercialization reached RMB 3.9 billion.
