Recently, the award ceremony for the Third Guangdong Intellectual Property Innovation and Commercialization Competition for the Eastern, Western and Northern Regions was held in Shaoguan, Guangdong Province. A total of 30 outstanding projects received awards, showcasing the strong momentum and significant potential of the region in driving industrial transformation and upgrading through the effective utilization of intellectual property.

The competition attracted 1,351 high-quality projects with commercialization potential, covering a wide range of strategic emerging industries, including advanced equipment manufacturing, biomedicine and healthcare, modern agriculture, and food processing. Following a rigorous evaluation process, 10 Gold Awards and 20 Silver Awards were presented. In addition, several special awards were established, including the Top 100 Award, Commercialization Potential Award, Best Organization Award, and Outstanding Patent Commercialization Technology Manager Award, recognizing a number of high-value intellectual property achievements rooted in the eastern, western and northern regions of Guangdong.

With patent commercialization as its central focus, the competition was designed to address the industrial development and technological upgrading needs of the eastern, western and northern regions of Guangdong. It introduced an integrated service model covering training, project roadshows, matchmaking, and commercialization. During the competition, a series of project roadshows were organized across northern, eastern and western Guangdong to facilitate collaboration among universities, research institutions, financial organizations, and innovative enterprises. These activities resulted in multiple patent commercialization and investment cooperation projects, helping accelerate the implementation and commercialization of high-value patents throughout the region.
