To better serve China-Hungary economic and trade relations and assist in addressing intellectual property (IP) issues and concerns faced by businesses from both countries in each other's markets, the China National Intellectual Property Administration (CNIPA) and the Hungarian Intellectual Property Office have agreed, after consultation, to jointly launch a pilot project for the "China-Hungary Liaison Officer Mechanism." The project will last for one year and will officially commence on April 1, 2025.
According to the announcement, both offices will each appoint an IP liaison officer to provide consultation services regarding IP issues encountered by Chinese companies operating in Hungary and Hungarian companies operating in China. The initiative aims to support enterprises from both countries in securing effective IP protection.
